Conflict Prevention, Management & Resolution

Conflicts are an unscapable reality of human existence. As humans, we are prone to disagreement and hence conflicts, sometimes simply because of our uniqueness and different perspectives of seeing or evaluating situations. Just in the Sub-Sahara alone, a whooping 90 recognised conflicts were reported in 2022. Of these, 16 were defined as wars and five as limited wars. At a time where conflicts have become a normal phenomenon in most parts of the world, there is need not just to manage or resolve them, but to engage a variety of activities and strategies that are aim to pre-empt and sunsequently neutralise potential triggers to widespread violent conflicts.

What we do:

  • Capacity Building of local actors on peace processes
  • Facilitate social dialogues between conflicting parties
  • Organise conflict prevention, management and resolution trainings for key stakeholders
  • Monitor the aftermath of peace interventions
  • Support national crisis response plans
  • Organise Interfaith dialogues for peace in Cameroon
  • Encourage small but meaningful actions to sustainable peace.

Our Commitment :

The advent of different peace threatening situations over the last decade, ranging from the Boko-haram insurgence in the northern region, the Anglophone crisis in the Northwest and Southwest regions and several other socio-political unrest within the national territory have served as a fuel to our mission, calling us to more action and giving CAMPEACI a greater sense of duty for our Fatherland and the world at large. CAMPEACI works to prevent conflicts from arising and facilitate ongoing dialogues to key issues affected a people, so as to find a common ground for peaceful coexistence. to that end, we work with all relevant actors including partnering local and foreign organisations like the Search for Common Ground.
